12:05pm. (Note: no evening Mass or Confession on Wednesday, March 27th)

 

3/28 Holy Thursday

7:30pm only with the choir present and incense used during the service.  Adoration ends at 10pm. (note: No afternoon Mass on Thursday 3/28 this is the only Mass of the day. )


3/29 Good Friday

Day of Fast and Abstinence

12pm Choir

2pm - Stations of the Cross

7:30pm Service


3/30 Easter Vigil

8pm with choir and incense is used during the service.  Our RCIA Elect will be fully brought into the Catholic Faith.


3/31 Easter Sunday

8am with cantor; 10am & 12pm with the choir and incense used during these services.  To adhere to fire safety protocol, once capacity has been met in the church there will be additional seating in the Parish Hall.

No evening Mass on Easter Sunday.

Procession with Palms

Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, commemorates and honors Jesus Christ’s victorious entry into Jerusalem. It is an event that is mentioned in all the four Gospels. It was a joyful occasion as Jesus rode into Jerusalem as a conquering King, and the people shouted His praises and worshiped Him.

TRIDUUM

The summit of the Liturgical Year is the Easter Triduum. The Triduum marks the end of the Lenten season and leads to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil.


Services that take place during the Triduum are:

Thursday of the Lord's Supper

  • Thursday, March 28th, 7:30pm with the choir present and incense used during the service.
  • Adoration ends at 10pm
  • Note: No afternoon Mass on Thursday March 28th this is the only Mass of the day.

Good Friday of the Lord's Passion

  • Friday, March 29th, 12pm with choir.
  • 2pm Stations of the Cross
  • 7:30pm with cantor.

The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night

  • Saturday, March 30th, 8pm - Begins outside the church.  Choir will be present, and incense is used during the service. Our RCIA Elect will be fully brought into the Catholic Faith.


DIRECTIONS & PARKING

The church is in an urban area where parking is highly restricted. The information provided here should only be used as a guide. Carefully check parking signs on all neighborhood streets and unattended Beverly Hill City parking lots (All meter parking will be enforced. You will be ticketed by Police if illegally parked).

  • GS PARKING LOT: Good Shepherd has a very small parking lot which can be accessed from Roxbury Drive - just a block west of the church on North Santa Monica Blvd and Roxbury Dr. DO NOT park in the alley, red zones, or double park in our lot blocking other cars. DO NOT block our neighbors' driveways you will be ticketed or possibly towed.
  • STRUCTURES: Across from the church along the Southside of Santa Monica Blvd. there are entrances to Beverly Hills metered parking structures on:
  • ROXBURY DRIVE - northbound one-way entrance there are lots on the west and east side of the street. The Westside structure typically has more open spaces since there are two other churches east of Good Shepherd that also utilize the Camden parking structure.
  • CAMDEN DRIVE - northbound one-way street entrances. These two (2) metered lots have varied pay structures - MON-SAT: Three (3) hour meters - which are free after 6pm. SUNDAY: Free Parking - No charge in those mentioned lots.

Easter Sunday is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.


Sunday, March 31st
