Shepherd Striders: Faith, Fitness, and Fellowship
Saturday, November 8th | 8:00 AM Mass followed by 8:30 AM Walk/Run | Meet at the Parish Center
It’s time to put faith into motion! Join us for our next Shepherd Striders morning — where we blend fitness and faith for an experience that nourishes body and soul. We’ll begin the morning by celebrating the 8:00 AM Mass together — because every great run starts with Christ at the center. Afterwards, meet us in the Parish Center for light refreshments, a quick warm-up, and some motivational encouragement before we hit the road! This isn’t just a workout — it’s a chance to pray with your feet, build community, and move with purpose. Choose your pace and your path:
Beginner Brisk Walk (3.25miles) – A relaxed, social pace perfect for newcomers or those looking for a steady walk filled with great conversation and reflection.
Intermediate Run/Walk Intervals (3.25 miles) – A dynamic mix of one to two minutes running, one to two minutes walking. Perfect for building endurance and challenging yourself at your own rhythm.
Advanced Loop (4.1 miles) – For our sub–12-minute milers who want to push a little harder and embrace the full challenge — this loop will get your heart pumping and your spirit soaring!
Whether you’re walking, jogging, or sprinting, this is about movement with meaning. We’ll end back at the Parish Center with prayer and gratitude, thanking God for the strength to run the race well — both physically and spiritually.
Come ready to sweat, smile, and sanctify your Saturday morning.

“Is God Calling You for More?” with Jillian Cooke

What if God is calling you to something more?
Join us for a powerful evening of prayer, reflection, and testimony as Jillian Cooke, Vocations Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and a Fr. Kolbe Missionary, leads us in discerning that question together.
Being a young adult today means navigating choices, dreams, and expectations — all while trying to figure out where faith fits in. But what if God is inviting you to a life of deeper surrender, joy, and mission?
Jillian will share her story of responding to Christ’s call to live a consecrated life — a vocation rooted in prayer, service, and total love for God. Drawing inspiration from the heroic witness of St. Maximilian Kolbe, she’ll challenge and encourage us to embrace holiness right where we are — whether single, dating, or discerning a particular vocation.
Come ready to be inspired, ask questions, and let the Holy Spirit stir something new in your heart. This is a night to open yourself to God’s voice and discover how He may be calling you to more.
Refreshments will be served — so come hungry for food, fellowship, and faith!
Young Adults Bonfire On The Beach
Saturday, November 22 | 4:00 PM | Dockweiler Beach (near El Segundo & LAX)
Let’s end the month with fire — literally and spiritually! Join us for our Young Adults Bonfire Night, an evening of friendship, praise, and renewal under the stars. We’ll gather at Dockweiler Beach for an unforgettable night of worship, barbecue, and community. Come early — we’ll start at 4:00 PM, just before sunset (around 4:45 PM), so we can watch the sky fade into night as we lift our hearts in gratitude. There’s something sacred about sharing stories, laughter, and music by the fire — it reminds us that faith isn’t meant to be lived alone. It’s shared, it’s lived out, and it’s celebrated together.
Bring your friends, your favorite hoodie, and your appetite for good food and good company. We’ll have praise and worship, games, and plenty of time to relax and connect.
Parking is available at the beach lot — and the exact location will be shared in our YAGS WhatsApp group on the day of the event. Come for the fire, stay for the faith, and leave with a heart that’s burning a little brighter.
Weekly YAGS Sunday Fellowship
Every Sunday at 6:00 PM (Except the 2nd Sunday) | Parish Center
Looking for a place to belong, grow, and share life in faith? Join us every Sunday evening for our YAGS Weekly Fellowship — a time to unwind, connect, and dive deeper into what it means to follow Christ in today’s world.
We kick things off at 6:00 PM in the Parish Center, right after the 5:00 PM Mass.
Come grab a snack, meet other young adults, and join in on meaningful conversations about faith, purpose, and the joys and challenges of living it out.
Every week brings something new — discussions, guest reflections, prayer, and plenty of laughs. It’s the perfect way to close your weekend and recharge your soul for the week ahead.
Please note: We don’t meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month - instead join us for Sunday Sip.
So bring a friend, pull up a chair, and come be part of a community that’s walking together in faith.
Rosary & Bible Study with Fr. Ed Benioff
Every 3rd Tuesday | 6:00 – 6:45 PM | Parish Center
Faith, fellowship, and Scripture — all in one evening. Join us every 3rd Tuesday for a beautiful night of prayer and reflection with Fr. Ed Benioff. We’ll begin in the Good Shepherd Room (Parish Center) with the Rosary, lifting up our intentions and centering our hearts on Christ. Then, we’ll transition into Fr. Ed’s Bible Study (7:00 – 9:00 PM), where he’ll unpack the upcoming Sunday readings in a way that’s practical, powerful, and deeply rooted in the faith.
